Congratulations to Sandra N., RN, for winning the $5,000 Student Loan Debt Scholarship during Nursing Careers Week!

Here is a just a small snippet of Sandra's inspiring nursing story:

"I came to the United States with a Diploma in Nursing under Health Carousel, I found my working environment first paced which made me feel  the need to step up my skills too, and among the strategies I put in place  was to go back for my RN-BSN and to also get certified as a Medical Surgical RN.

I applied for the RN-BSN program at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona and I was given a vacancy which of course came along with a student’s loan to help me cover my tuition.

I finished the program and graduated in October 2024 . I feel so excited that I was able to win $5000 student debt scholarship from Nursing career week, and I feel it came just on time when I was about to start paying back my students loan, I am so thankful to health carousel by employer for giving me this kind of opportunity.

My earned RN-BSN helped me enhance my critical thinking skills and I am able to make more I informed decisions, advocate for my patients while incorporating evidence based practice and knowledge.

Lastly but no least, I do believe this BSN is going to position me better for leadership roles, more career advancement and of course better payment which will increase my income as a mother of two and better my family’s wellbeing."
