
Tara is a senior executive with more than twenty years of progressive leadership experience in acute care hospitals, including twelve years in a tertiary, three years in academic settings. During her career, she has served in various nursing leadership positions including clinical oversight of medical-surgical, critical and intermediate care, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, trauma, burns, neurology, neurosurgery, epilepsy monitoring and advanced practice providers. Tara currently holds a BSN in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing, Columbus, Ohio; MSN in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing, Columbus, Ohio; DNP in Executive Healthcare Leadership, Mount Carmel College of Nursing, Columbus, Ohio. Tara actively mentors through the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio for master’s students studying Nursing Leadership. She serves as Adjunct Professor at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in the undergraduate nursing program. Tara is a member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nurses and Ohio Organization Nurse Executives (OONE). She was honored with the Daisy Team Award-Critical Care Shared Governance Council, University of Cincinnati Medical Center Hospital 2022; Nurse Leader of the Year Nominee, Mount Carmel East Hospital 2013-2020; March of Dimes Nurse Leader of the Year Nominee, Columbus, Ohio 2014-2015; Wise Women in Leadership Nominee, Columbus, Ohio 2013; Nurse Leader of the Year Award, Mount Carmel, Mount Carmel East Hospital 2012; Leadership Distinction Award, Mount Carmel College of Nursing 2012.
